Terrence Young joined HHDC’s Board of Directors in 2013. Mr. Young is Director of Commercial Real Estate for Urban Partnership Bank, a Chicago based community development bank. He oversees lending operations for the purchase and rehab of multi-family dwellings. Mr. Young brings extensive experience in the areas of real estate finance and community development, both as an entrepreneur and as a corporate executive. He served as Managing Director of T Young Investments LLC, a real estate investment company that acquires, develops and sells commercial properties.
Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Fannie Mae, most recently as Lead Director of Community Initiatives. He began his career as Vice President and Division Manager for The First National Bank of Chicago in 1986.
Mr. Young is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, 100 Black Men of Chicago, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chicago Urban League, among other affiliations. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and his M.B.A. in Accounting/Finance from the University of Illinois.
