Ms. Peña is an experienced Property Management Professional with 28 years of expertise in Multifamily/Senior housing specializing in Subsidized/LIHTC properties. She has a strong background in tenant relations, lease administration, property maintenance, compliance, and financial management. She is committed to providing affordable quality housing to the communities we serve.
Ms. Peña joined Hispanic Housing Development Corporation in 1997 as the Administrative Assistant at Diversey Square Apartments, she was then promoted to Assistant Manager at a multi-site portfolio where she assisted in managing four subsidized/tax credit properties. She remained with HHDC until 2004.
Ms. Peña was recruited by Aimco where she worked from 2004-2017, she managed a sixteen building 304 unit Subsidized/LIHTC property with over 1,000 residents. She established a history of ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing occupancy rates to 99%-100%, maximizing rent collections, managing budget, and fostering tenant relations.
Ms. Peña went to work at Volunteers of America from 2017-2022 as the Senior Property Manager, later promoted to Property Supervisor overseeing a 5-property diverse portfolio of tax credit, PBV, SRN CLIHTF, ensuring operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.
In 2022 she returned to HHDC as Property Supervisor responsible for overseeing all operations and maintaining the integrity of the physical assets of eleven properties with over 900 units, with the following programs, Market Rate, LIHTC, Project Based Section 8, Home, RAD, Sec 202, CLIHTF. Ms. Peña is responsible for supervision of all staff, capital expenditure, budgets, and submission of compliance reports. She was recently promoted to Associate Vice President of Property Management and is looking forward to the asset management and administration of the property management division.
