Milo Aguilar

Milo Aguilar

Milo has a Bachelor in Architecture from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (México). As an entrepreneur, he made his design-build firm grow and positioned it as one of the top in Salamanca, Mexico.

By the end of 2007, Milo traveled to Chicago and visited Roosevelt University and learned that the MBA program with a concentration in Real Estate was the program he needed to fulfill his professional goals and decided to enroll in January 2010.  During the program, he learned about green construction and his interest in sustainability made him attain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C) in 2011 and WELL AP in 2018.

In 2012, Milo decided to live and work in Chicago. In 2018 founded Reciprocity LLC and has worked as a lead consultant for architectural projects pursuing LEED and WELL certifications. Since 2011, he has worked on more than 15 projects including schools, laboratories, healthcare, campuses, hospitality, and industrial buildings projects in the US and Latin America.

Most of Milo’s professional experience has been feed through the collaboration with different real estate development and architectural firms, property management corporations, mechanical and civil engineers, landscape architects, and general contractors. The learning process has made him identify the challenges of building’s construction, operations and, management.

In addition, since 2018 he has been teaching green construction, LEED GA training for the Institute for Workforce Education at Lewis University in Chicago. His goal is to make small construction enterprises understand the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.

In the near future, Aguilar is planning to add consultant services for Environmental, Social and, Governance (ESG) reporting to his firm as well as investing more time on painting, traveling, and doing yoga.
