Ms. Ortiz joined HHDC’s Board of Directors in 2019. She is a certified planner and LEED accredited professional. She provides over two decades of government, corporate and not‐for-profit experience. Ms. Ortiz has been committed to equitable community development, sustainable initiatives, and affordable housing throughout her professional career. Her work is based on local, national, and global perspectives from practicums in Denmark, Mexico, China, France, and the United States.
Ms. Ortiz is the principal and founder of 3e.Studio where she specializes in equitable community development, sustainability, and real estate development. Prior to this role, she served as Managing Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago Department of Housing and she led teams at Enterprise Community Partners, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Hispanic Housing Development Corporation and Urban Works.
Rosa earned a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy and a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, American Planning Association, Arquitectos, and a mentor with Arquitinas.
