Brian Mond was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2001, he moved to the Midwest to study city planning at Iowa State University. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from ISU, he went on to receive his Master’s degree in real estate from Roosevelt University with the help of the Teresa and Hipolito Roldan Scholarship Program.
Brian has been working as a housing provider since 2015, renting affordable housing to families of native Chicagoan and newly arrived immigrants. Being a housing provider has always been something that he finds very rewarding. He knows that if you build a good relationship with your tenants, staff, and maintenance team, you can work together to make a positive impact in the lives of others. For over a decade, doing renovations and repairs on his own smaller portfolio has given him a unique perspective of the challenges of running an apartment building and business. Brian is proud of being a Teresa and Hipolito Roldan Scholar at Roosevelt University, where he gained hands-on housing industry experience. Brian is excited to bring his wide-range of multifamily experience and is looking forward to continuing to help to grow in Chicago’s affordable neighborhoods of Avondale, Logan Square, Hermosa and Belmont Cragin. Outside of work, Brian is an avid sailor. He has repaired/renovated two sailboats, raced in the Mackinac Race eight times. He has met his wife sailing and raced and worked together for the past five years. Brian is the father of a new Chicagoan and a future sailor, Luca Mond.
