Liz Reyes

Liz Reyes has worked in the community development and affordable housing field for over 30 years. In 1991, she was the first recipient of the Teresa and Hipolito Roldan Community Development Scholarship and in 1993 graduated with an M.A. in Urban Planning and Policy from UIC. She worked at many of Chicago’s premier community development organizations including IFF, Mercy Housing Lakefront, CSH, and the Lightengale Group. In 2010, Liz earned an M.A. in Library and Information Science and in 2022, an M.A. in Social Work. She is currently working as a Senior Advisor with Open Door Advisors and as the Social Services Coordinator at the La Grange Public Library. She lives in Riverside, IL with her husband, Benjamin and son, Rafael. Liz is forever grateful to Paul Roldan for the opportunity to pursue a rewarding career focused on affordable housing.
