Terrence Young first joined HHDC’s Board of Directors in the early 1990’s and served until 2007. After a few years of absence, he returned to the Board of Directors in 2013. Mr. Young is Senior Vice President - Chief Credit Officer at IFF, a Midwest based community development financial institution. He oversees the credit approval process, portfolio management and the closing departments. Mr. Young brings extensive experience in the areas of real estate finance and community development, both as an entrepreneur and as a corporate executive. Prior to IFF, he worked at a variety of financial institutions where he held positions of leadership.
Mr. Young is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chicago Urban League, among other affiliations. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and his M.B.A. in Accounting/Finance from the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana Illinois.
