HHDC has welcomed Janay Hayes-Mohamed as Vice President of Property Management. In that role, she is responsible for all aspects of property management operations across a diverse portfolio. The properties participate in a multitude of programs including Project-Based Section 8, Project-Based Vouchers and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) among others.
Janay brings expertise in managing portfolios and strategic leadership. She also brought a positive outlook and a desire to dig in and get things done. Those skills were on display when she helped plan the May 17 ribbon-cutting for the Pedro Albizu Campos Apartments.
Janay worked for The Habitat Company for nine years before joining us. There she rose from Regional Manager, to Director of Property Operations, to Vice President of Affordable Housing. Janay has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Governors State University in Illinois.
