Adela Cepeda joined HHDC’s Board of Directors in 2016. Adela is a managing director of Public Financial Management, Inc., the largest municipal advisor in the United States. In 1995, she founded and led A.C. Advisory, Inc., a nationally ranked firm that provided advice to governments and corporations for over 20 years. She has advised on over $140 billion of municipal transactions across Illinois, New York and Connecticut.
Ms. Cepeda previously was vice president of corporate finance at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. Inc. A financial expert, Ms. Cepeda is a director of the board of BMO Financial Corp., a major U.S. bank holding company. She is also a director of the UBS, Mercer and CGCM mutual funds. She serves on the boards of Arrupe College, Chicago Foundation for Women and Nuestro Futuro, an affiliate of the Chicago Community Trust.
Ms. Cepeda graduated cum laude with an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago School of Business
