Laritza Lopez joined HHDC’s Board of Directors in 2016. Laritza is the founder and President of Purple Group, an award winning, full-service strategic marketing communications and advertising firm specializing in harnessing cultural insights in order to develop powerful messages that connect, engage and maximize impact.
Her corporate career spanned over fifteen years starting as a young marketing officer that evolved into the Chief Operating Officer of a start-up division at Aon Corporation. From the corporate boardrooms to entrepreneurship, Laritza now leads Purple Group with a team of twenty professionals devising creative strategies to resolve business and marketing challenges across a broad range of sectors, e.g. financial services, non-profits, foundations, healthcare, education, government and even retail.
She has an extensive general management and marketing background, both domestically and internationally with an excellent track record of building brands. Laritza has established and managed successful businesses in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
Laritza received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management and a minor in communications from Loyola University of Chicago. Additionally, she completed the Harvard School of Business, Summer Venture in Management Program, and continues to develop her expertise by participating in industry groups and conferences. Laritza’ work at Purple Group has resulted in industry recognition from the Chicago Publicity Club, Trumpet Awards and the International Association of Business Communicators, Gold Quill Awards.
