As Vice President of Property Management, Mr. Rodriguez is responsible for all aspects of property management operations for Hispanic Housing Development Corp. He oversees a diverse portfolio of developments which consist of Project-Based Section 8, Project-Based Vouchers, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Workforce Housing, among others. Based out of the Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, he works closely with the Director of Property Management Operations and Manager of Portfolio Services and their teams.
With over 16 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry throughout the Midwest, Southeast, Puerto Rico and the U.S Virgin Islands, Mr. Rodriguez has successfully leased-up several new construction communities, led diligent management acquisition teams as well as collaborated with community advocates to provide quality housing to individuals coming out of homelessness. Since 2010, he has held the designation of Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) issued by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) and is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Chris also holds a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation from the National Apartment Association since 2015. He graduated from Miami-Dade College with an Associate in Arts degree in Business Administration and completed additional coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree from City College.
Mr. Rodriguez began employment with HHDC in 2019 after a 12-year tenure with Royal American Management where he served as Regional Vice President. Fueled by a belief that great leadership is as much about learning as it is teaching, Chris' professional approach is routed in teamwork. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
