Dilia Camacho-Saeedi is the Vice President of Property Management. She first joined HHDC in 1983 as an Assistant Manager and then rejoined the organization as a Property Supervisor in 1986. She has held her current position of Vice President of Property Management since 1990. In this role, she oversees all duties of property management including asset management, administration, and resident services for HHDC's property management portfolio. The portfolio consists of more than 3,600 affordable housing units and 46,970 square feet of commercial space. She manages a department of 170 employees in 25 offices throughout Chicago, the western suburbs, and central Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Before joining HHDC Ms. Camacho-Saeedi worked as a Program Supervisor for ASPIRA Inc. of Illinois, where she oversaw a successful peer-counseling pilot program in five Chicago public high schools. From 1984 to 1986, she was a Housing Management Officer for the Illinois Housing Development Authority and monitored 17 developments throughout the state.
Ms. Camacho-Saeedi also has served on the Board of Directors for Labe Bank and Esperanza Community Services. In 1998, she received the Metropolitan Chicago YMCA's Black & Hispanic Achiever Award. In 2000, she received IREM's Image Award for exceptional contributions to the real estate industry. Ms. Camacho-Saeedi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Studies and Geography from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her CPM (Certified Property Manager) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where she also served as Vice President of Membership and Education.
