Janay Hayes-Mohamed has joined Hispanic Housing Development Corporation as Vice President of Property Management responsible for all aspects of property management operations across a diverse portfolio participating in a multitude of programs including Project-Based Section 8, Project-Based Vouchers, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) among others. Working closely with the Directors of Property Operations and community teams to support HHDC’s commitment to create and maintain healthy communities, she is based out of the Corporate Headquarters in Chicago. Prior to joining HHDC, she worked for The Habitat Company for 9 years in a variety of roles including Regional Manager, Director of Property Operations and Vice President of Affordable Housing.
Janay obtained her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston and Master of Public Administration from Governors State University. She has also obtained professional certifications including Tax Credit Specialist, Blended Occupancy Specialist, Certified Financial Specialist, and Senior Housing Manager from the National Center of Housing Management (NCHM) and Housing Credit Certified Professional from the National Association of Home Builders.
